Today in Jersey City, the weather will start foggy according to weather forecast. Icing has developed because of the snow yesterday/last night. Expect a partly cloudy skies with temperature of high 29F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight, will be partly cloudy. Temp Low 17F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph.

January 11, 2009 Weather: Mix of Clouds and Sun

The snow storm has ended in Jersey City and the sun is coming out with a few clouds covering it from time to time. The weather forecast for today: A mix of clouds and sun. High 32F. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph. Tonight we will see some clouds. Low 23F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.

SOME AREAS ALONG THE COAST ROSE ABOVE FREEZING OVERNIGHT... THEN EXPERIENCED REFREEZING OF STANDING WATER AND MELTED SNOW AS TEMPERATURES FELL BACK BELOW FREEZING BEFORE DAYBREAK.

ANYONE TRAVELING THIS MORNING SHOULD ALLOW FOR EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION AND USE LOW SPEEDS TO ACCOUNT FOR ICY SPOTS... BE ESPECIALLY ALERT FOR UNTREATED SECONDARY ROADS AND ICE COVERED WALKWAYS

January 10, 2009 Weather: Light Snow Begins

Today in Jersey City... the weather seems to be not as bad as predicted. Yesterday, weather forecast said we might experience at least 5 inches of snow today. However, the weather alert changed from Winter Storm Warning to Winter Weather Advisory. The expected snow fall for today: 2-4 inches.

LIGHT SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON... PICKING UP IN INTENSITY AS THE AFTERNOON PROGRESSES. SNOW WILL THEN CONTINUE TO FALL INTO TONIGHT... MIXING WITH RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN. THIS WINTRY MIX ENDS SUNDAY MORNING.

January 7, 2009 Weather: Wet, Rainy, and Icy

Today in Jersey City, we have a light wintry mix weather condition this morning. Temperature is in the high 30's, but it will feel like 10 degrees lower. The wintry mix will turn into rainfall as the day progresses, so it will be wet through out the day. Generally, the weather will be cloudy with periods of rain. High 39F. NE winds at 15 to 25 mph, diminishing to 5 to 10 mph. Rainfall may reach one inch.

Forecast for this evening shows rain showers with overcast skies overnight. Low 33F. Winds WSW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

It is icy in other parts of New Jersey, causing closures and delays in some schools.
