Winter Storm Forces Delayed Start for NJ Schools

Tomorrow - January 7, 2009 (Wedensday) - expect heavy rains to greet your morning. The winter storm will affect not only Jersey City, but the entire North East, according to the storm watch issued by the National Weather Services:

...The Northeast is bracing for a wintry mess that will increase overnight and continue through Wednesday.

A combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain will bother areas from the Middle Atlantic region to New York and New England. Most East Coast cites will see mainly rain from this event. Sleet and freezing rain will spread northeastward from western Pennsylvania up into Southern New England by morning. A combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain will prevail across central and eastern New York into the center of New England. Northern sections of New York and New England will see plenty of snow, with some sleet mixing in at times. Some of these areas may see 6 to 12 inches of snow. Areas across northeast Ohio, western Pennsylvania will see snow and freezing rain changing to all rain on Wednesday...
